BRITISH FOUNDATION “JOHN SMITH TRUST” CENTRAL ASIA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2020 IN UK

British foundation “The John Smith Trust” announces the start of application for the annual training courses for young professionals under the scholarship program “Central Asian Scholarship 2020” in the UK from 2-29 November 2020.

The John Smith Trust program provides the next generation of leaders with the opportunity to explore issues and aspects of governance, rule of law and social justice through intensive four-week training. 

The training consists of a series of workshops, discussions, visits and meetings. Upon their return home, the fellows will be able to use the new acquaintances and contacts established during their studies in the UK to support the implementation of their action plan

The program starts with a residence – one week in Edinburgh, Scotland and 3 weeks in London.

 Requirements: 

  •  Excellent English language skills;
  •  Young specialists aged 25-35 years;
  •  Potential of the leader in the professional sphere, aspiration to make the contribution to positive development of the country;
  •  Areas of expertise: politics, public administration, local and regional governance, civil society, media, law, higher education and international business development.

Selection:

The selection process consists of a questionnaire analysis and an interview to be held in June/July. The results of the selection will be announced in August.

Conditions: 

Organizers pay for accommodation and meals, as well as international and domestic transportation within the program.

25 scholarships are intended for Central Asian countries, and representatives of Uzbekistan can get 6 places (depending on the quality of the application and the results of the interview).
