American Councils for International Education in Uzbekistan is implementing Central Asian Spelling Bee Contest – 2022 with funding received from the U.S. Embassy Tashkent!
- The Local Spelling Bee in Uzbekistan will be held in September 2022
- The National Spelling Bee in Tashkent will be in October 2022
- The Regional Central Asian Bee in Tashkent will take place in November 2022
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANT (must meet all of these requirements):- Must be a citizen of Uzbekistan
- Full-time undergraduate university or institute student
- Participant can have studied in the U.S. (or another English-speaking country) previously, but currently must be enrolled as a full-time student in Uzbek university
- Between the ages of 18 (on or before January 31, 2022) and 25 (cannot have turned 26 before January 31, 2022)
- Cannot have participated in previous Regional Central Asian Spelling Bees in Bishkek, Almaty, and Dushanbe
The top winners of each local bee will take part in the National Spelling Bee in Tashkent.
The top four contestants will travel to Tashkent for the Regional Central Asian Spelling Bee. The contest is free to all participants.
Only registered people who have received an email confirmation will be able to participate.
Note: A notification email with the contest date will be sent separately to the registered participants.
