Today, on May 30, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Italian language department was held at the Faculty of Translation of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The event began with a solemn ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event was attended by the rector of UzSWLU U.Azizov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan A.Pinna, First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education K.Kamilov, Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis for Cooperation with the Italian Parliament K.Juraev, professors of the University of Perugia Paolo Legler and Antonietta Gobbis, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of UzSWLU A. Abidjanov and others.
On the same day, students studying Italian performed poems, songs, monologues and skits in Italian for the guests. It should be noted that the rector of the Italian University of Perugia delivered a congratulatory speech online.
