INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND APPLIED LINGUISTICS

Tashkent hosts international conference on discussion of current issues of foreign language teaching and applied linguistics.

The conference, organized by Korea University of International Studies (KUIS) jointly with the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent and ERIELL Prof Education Center in Tashkent, was attended by domestic and foreign scientists, teachers and students.

At the event, special attention was paid to analysis of issues of relevance of foreign language teaching, applied linguistics, problems of professionally oriented translation, important factors of multilingualism, as well as existing problems in this direction.

The conference is attended by more than 300 specialists in language and intercultural education, linguistics from 35 countries. They share their experience in 16 areas. An exhibition of books published by Oxford University Press will also be held within the framework of the event.

Views were exchanged on such issues as problems of applied linguistics, professionally oriented translation, intercultural dialogue.
