STUDENTS OF THE UZBEKISTAN STATE WORLD LANGUAGES UNIVERSITY WILL STUDY IN THE NEW EDUCATIONAL BUILDING

Today the opening ceremony of a new educational building for 2,500 seats, built for the Faculties of English and Oriental Philology of the Uzbekistn State World Languages Univerity, took place.

It was attended by the head of the Department of Social Development of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov, teachers and students.

Speakers at the event noted that practical efforts to further improve the activities of higher educational institutions, create the necessary conditions for students, introduce advanced teaching methods into the educational process and, ultimately, train qualified, competitive personnel are bearing fruit.

“Today is the first day of the new academic year, and these days the thirty-second anniversary of the Independence of our country is celebrated with great joy and pride. No wonder the head of our state always says and repeats – education, education, teachers, teachers! Because we cannot achieve high results without the development of education. The solution to any problem and the decisive factor of our tomorrow is undoubtedly education,” – Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation I. Abdurakhmanov said in his speech.

Currently, more than 22,000 students study at the university in 24 undergraduate and 18 master’s programs in full-time, evening and extramural courses. The university is the country’s leading university for training personnel in the field of linguistics. Students are taught 17 foreign languages.
