At the initiative of the rector of the Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages, two departments of the Institute were named after professors who worked tirelessly at these departments for many years, contributing to the development of the institute and introduced thousands of students to society.

In particular, the Department of English Language Practice of the Faculty of English Language and Literature was named after the Doctor of Philology, Professor G. M. Khoshimov.

The Department of Theory and Practice of the German Language was named after Doctor of Philology, Professor M.E.Umarkhuzhaev.
