British Council Uzbekistan delighted to invite you to the “Towards the Inclusive University – Widening Access in Uzbekistan” conference which aims to promote inclusivity among universities in Uzbekistan, and will focus on the following themes:

• Inclusive Higher Education Curriculum
• Inclusive Higher Education Leadership Development
• Inclusive Student Support and Skills Development
• Inclusive Institutional Culture – Access for All

The conference will specifically look at issues related to women empowerment, girls’ education, access to education for people with special educational needs, and those representing vulnerable and/or low income families. The event will have workshops to discuss specific case studies and examples of existing barriers and explore how they can be dealt with in the short and longer-term.

The conference is organised by:

• Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republik of Uzbekistan
• The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan
• Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT)
• British Council in Uzbekistan
• University of Westminster (UK).

The event will be delivered in a hybrid format and will take place on WIUT’s campus by invitation and confirmation. There will be simultaneous translation in English and Uzbek.
