AMBASSADOR OF GREECE VISITS THE UNIVERSITY OF WORLD LANGUAGES

The Ambassador of Greece to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Paraskevi Tzeveleki, paid a visit to the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Practical English Studies No. 3 I. Khaydarov, Head of the Department of Second Foreign Languages E. Muydinova, and Greek language instructor S. Musayeva.

During the discussion, Rector of the University, I. Tukhtasinov, spoke about the ongoing educational reforms in Uzbekistan, the university’s international cooperation activities, the establishment of Greek language instruction, and future plans. A video presentation about the university’s activities was also shown.

Ms. Paraskevi Tzeveleki highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s education system and expressed her satisfaction with the attention given to Greek language education at the university.

The Ambassador stated her readiness to provide practical support in expanding cooperation with Greek higher education institutions, creating new opportunities for students and teachers through international programs such as Erasmus+, and assisting in the establishment of a Greek Language Center.
