March 7, 2026From March 5 to 7, a summit on cooperation in the field of English language and inclusion was held within the framework of the British Council’s Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia (AELLCA) programme.
As one of the key partners of the programme, the summit featured a representative of the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation – Nilufar Rakhmatullaeva, Head of the Strategic Planning and Projects Department. In her speech, she spoke about the programme and its significance, and also emphasized the importance of English language teaching and inclusive education.

Special attention was given to the programme’s contribution to improving the quality of English language teaching in the region and in our country, as well as to ensuring opportunities for all talented young people. This, in turn, provides young people with access to international educational opportunities and contributes to increasing the share of female students, talented youth from remote regions, and persons with disabilities among the scholarship recipients of the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation.
Representatives of 28 universities from Central Asia and the United Kingdom took part in the summit. The discussions focused on reforming English language teaching in the higher education system based on a holistic approach, continuous professional development of teachers, inclusiveness, strengthening leadership in times of transformation, and the exchange of experience.
