Today, February 11, marks the Day of Recognition of Women and Girls Working in the Field of Science and Technology, recognition of their achievements and encouragement of further participation of women in this field.

Historically, women have made tremendous strides in science:
Marie Curie was the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize twice and one of the founders of the theory of radioactivity.
Rosalind Franklin is a scientist who has contributed to the definition of the structure of DNA.
Katherine Johnson is a mathematician who worked at NASA and performed the calculations of human space launches.
Even today, women scientists, engineers, researchers, and educators all over the world play an important role in the development of science.
Dear women, your contribution to science is unparalleled!
May your aspirations for science continue, and we wish you discoveries and achievements!
