INTERREGIONAL CONFERENCE OF UNIVERSITY RECTORS FROM RUSSIA AND UZBEKISTAN TAKES PLACE IN NAMANGAN
May 22, 2025On May 22–23, the city of Namangan is hosting an interregional conference of rectors from higher education institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. This prestigious event is organized by Namangan State University.

The conference is attended by representatives of the higher education systems of both countries, heads of ministries and government agencies, rectors of leading universities, and officials from scientific institutions.
At the official opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by: Head of the Department for Social Development of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmonov, Director of the Directorate under the President of the Russian Federation Igor Maslov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shohrukh Daliyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevskiy, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education Sardor Rajabov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Korneyev, and Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Usmon Sharifkhojayev.
The conference includes panel sessions and B2B-format meetings and negotiations.



It is worth noting that representatives of Uzbekistan State World Languages University are also actively participating in this prominent event.
The university is represented by Rector Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology Associate Professor A. Rakhmonov, Director of the Sectoral Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Teaching Staff Professor J. Abduganieva, and Head of Department at the same center K. Alimova.


This international conference is aimed at exchanging views on current issues in higher education, promoting new initiatives, and taking bilateral cooperation to a new level.
