JAPAN EDUCATION FAIR HELD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THREE CITIES OF UZBEKISTAN
November 4, 2025“Japan Education Fair 2025” has officially begun. It is noteworthy that this year’s “Japan Education Fair 2025” is being held for the first time in three cities — Samarkand, Tashkent, and Bukhara.
The event started on November 1 at Samarkand State University, continued in Tashkent on November 3, and will conclude at Bukhara State University on November 5.
The fair is organized by the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Universities of Tsukuba and Nagoya, and the Uzbekistan–Japan Center.




The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan, Hirata Kenji; and Co-director of the Uzbekistan–Japan Center, Hiro Iwasaki.
The event has drawn great public interest, attracting school pupils, students, their parents, teachers, and others interested in studying in Japan.
Eleven leading Japanese universities are taking part in the fair, offering various scholarship programs for Uzbek youth. These scholarships provide opportunities to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees free of charge, conduct research, and undertake internships at Japanese companies.
