KUNGRATBAY SHARIPOV MET WITH THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF DJIBOUTI

In Samarkand, within the framework of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kungratbay Sharipov, held a meeting with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Djibouti, Mohamed Mahmoud Mustafa.

During the talks, the parties discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of higher and vocational education, science, and innovation. They reached an agreement to promote student and teacher exchange programs, implement joint scientific projects, and create opportunities for talented young people from Djibouti to study at universities in Uzbekistan.

Minister Mohamed Mahmoud Mustafa provided information about the educational reforms carried out in Djibouti in recent years. According to him, 100% of the population in Djibouti is covered by school education, with equal learning conditions created for both boys and girls. Currently, more than 12,000 students are studying at the University of Djibouti in the fields of economics, law, engineering, medicine, and social sciences, which demonstrates the stable development of the country’s education system.
