Important agreements were signed within the framework of the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum, currently taking place in the capital. As part of the forum, key cooperation documents were signed at the Hilton hotel in Tashkent.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan signed memorandums of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s leading companies — ACWA Power and DataVolt. These agreements involve the implementation of projects worth a total of USD 20 million.

According to the agreement with ACWA Power, the company will invest in the Shirin Energy Technical College in Syrdarya region through 2030. The partnership will establish a training system for specialists that meets international standards. The project includes improving education quality, strengthening the technical infrastructure, and integrating the two-year curriculum of the Energy and Water Academy (EWA) into the college’s programs.

The agreement with DataVolt focuses on developing digital infrastructure. Under this partnership, modern educational programs in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and electromechanical engineering for the data center industry will be introduced at the Shirin Energy Technical College. The institution will be equipped with advanced technical facilities, and instructors will be supported with financial incentives.

These memorandums of cooperation aim to modernize Uzbekistan’s vocational education system in line with international standards.

As part of these agreements, the training process will be aligned with current demands, marking a significant step toward preparing highly qualified and competitive specialists for the labor market.
