President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to this country on February 4-5 at the invitation of Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim.

During the visit, bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur, meetings with the heads of leading Malaysian companies, a joint business forum and other events are planned.

The agenda of the upcoming high-level talks includes issues of further development of Uzbek-Malaysian friendly relations and expansion of practical cooperation, including trade, investment, innovation, technological cooperation, petrochemicals, electronics, green energy, smart agriculture, tourism and many other priority areas.

Special attention is paid to the intensification of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The leaders also consider relevant aspects of international politics and regional cooperation.

Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a Joint statement and a set of significant agreements aimed at further developing a large-scale partnership between the two countries.

It should be noted that several important events are being held in Malaysia before the visit.

In particular, a meeting of leading analytical centers and research structures has already taken place. Presentations of the tourism potential and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, a forum of rectors of leading universities of the two countries and other events will be held in the coming days.
