TURKISH LANGUAGE WEEK HELD AT SAMARKAND STATE INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

May 27, 2025

Turkish Language Week was held at the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. This cultural event provided students and faculty with an opportunity to become more closely acquainted with Turkish culture.

The week began with vibrant activities at the entrance gate of the institute. Students and teachers were warmly welcomed with traditional Turkish hospitality — Turkish tea, sweets, and national dances. A festive atmosphere was created for everyone.

In the following days, an exhibition of Turkish national dishes, prepared by students studying in the Turkish language program, was organized. Guests had the chance to explore the richness of Turkish cuisine and enjoy its unique flavors. Famous Turkish folk dances such as Zeybek and Erik Dalı were also performed, adding an uplifting spirit to the event.

The week contributed to the development of a multicultural environment at the institute.
