From 9 to 16 August, Uzbekistan will host the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) for the first time.

The IOI is the world’s most prestigious programming competition for secondary school students, serving as a platform for identifying the brightest young talents sought after by leading global technology companies and top research institutions.

By the numbers:

• 386 talented students have registered from more than 97 countries;
• The total number of delegates, jury members, and observers will exceed 900 participants.

After an impressive performance in Bolivia in 2025, where the team secured silver and bronze medals, Uzbekistan’s national squad is ready to welcome the world’s best young programmers and aim for new achievements at home.
