UZSWLU STUDENTS RETURNED FROM INTERNSHIP IN ALGERIA

Eighteen students from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UZSWLU), under the guidance of Ahmad al-Zubaidi and Aigul Umurzakova – lecturers from the Department of Theory and Practice of Arabic Translation- completed an internship at El-Oued University in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The program aimed to enhance their qualifications and deepen their understanding of Arab culture.

Over the course of two months, the students studied at the Faculty of Language and Literature. Renowned professors delivered high-quality lectures in their respective fields. Immersed in an Arabic-speaking environment, the students improved their language skills and even published articles in local outlets such as El-Jadid, Kaidnews, An-Nasr, and Al-Khabar.

In addition to academic training, the students actively participated in Algeria’s cultural life and various university events. They also took part in educational excursions organized by the university administration and explored the rich historical heritage of the Arab world.

Classes were held at the Faculty of Language and Literature, and the students were accommodated in the “Hada Solih” dormitory, which provided all necessary living conditions. The students expressed their sincere gratitude to the university administration for this valuable opportunity.
