UZBEKISTAN’S COOPERATION WITH FINLAND IN HIGHER EDUCATION IS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING

On February 21-23, the “Evening of Finnish Education” was held at the International Scandinavian University.

The guests of the event were representatives of relevant ministries and departments, international organizations and the diplomatic corps of Uzbekistan, as well as a delegation in the business community headed by the Minister of Development of Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland Ville Skinarri.

Important agreements were reached within the framework of the event, as well as the opening ceremony of the “Center for Finnish Language and Culture” at the university. Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shakhlo Turdikulova also took part in it.

Also, the Minister for the Development of Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland Ville Skinnari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Uzbekistan Ilkka Räysänen was awarded the title of “Honorary Doctor” of the International Scandinavian University.

It should be noted that the conference will further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland in the field of education and business, the implementation of joint scientific projects, participation in international grants, and deepening scientific research.
