A MEETING WAS HELD WITH A PROFESSOR OF VANCOUVER ISLAND UNIVERSITY

A meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with Professor of Vancouver Island University (Canada), academician and migration advisor, Mahbuba Temirovna Ergasheva.

During the discussion, the priority areas of bilateral cooperation were addressed. These included establishing relations with Canada’s leading universities (Toronto, Alberta, Ottawa, Waterloo, McGill), organizing academic exchanges for students, faculty, and researchers, as well as introducing professional development courses for English and French language teachers with their engagement at UzSWLU.

The prospects of launching joint education programs and summer schools, and enhancing scientific collaboration through article publications, joint supervision, peer review, and the organization of international conferences and seminars were also considered.

Special emphasis was placed on attracting graduates of Canadian schools, colleges, and universities to study at the lyceum, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels of UzSWLU, as well as on participation in youth forums, festivals, and various competitions. The meeting is expected to serve as an important step towards strengthening cooperation between UzSWLU and Canada’s leading educational institutions.
