EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION ISSUES DISCUSSED WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF BANGLADESH

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan, Mohammad Monirul Islam.

During the meeting, the parties discussed proposals to expand existing cooperation between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and higher education institutions of Bangladesh, initiate joint educational programs, and introduce a dual-degree system. Special attention was also given to launching academic exchange programs for faculty and students.

The two sides exchanged views on conducting joint scientific research in agriculture, healthcare, information technologies, and renewable energy, as well as organizing joint scientific-practical conferences.

Additionally, opportunities for collaboration in developing the innovation ecosystem, sharing experience in technoparks and startup activities, and implementing joint projects in artificial intelligence and the digital economy were discussed. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group to coordinate cooperation and develop practical documents.
