As part of the “Uzbekistan Days” initiative, an international event dedicated to promoting the culture and science of Uzbekistan was held in the city of Vigo, Spain, at the initiative of Fergana State Technical University.
The event brought together Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Spain Farrukh Tursunov, the leadership of the University of Vigo, representatives of five Uzbek higher education institutions, as well as members of Spain’s academic, cultural, and business communities.

The event featured an exhibition of traditional Uzbek handicrafts and cultural heritage, along with presentations showcasing the country’s investment, scientific, and tourism potential. Information was also shared about the upcoming 43rd session of UNESCO, which will be held for the first time outside Paris — in Samarkand.
The primary objective of the event was to enhance the international reputation of Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions, promote educational diplomacy, and foster cultural exchange.
