PRESIDENTIAL DECREE “ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN”
October 5, 2026The Ministry of Education and Science implements unified state policy in the following areas and serves as the republican executive authority responsible for their development and regulation:
– preschool education and upbringing;
– general secondary and specialized secondary education;
– vocational education;
– higher education;
– postgraduate education;
– retraining and professional development of personnel;
– additional and non-formal education.
The Ministry of Education and Science is the legal successor to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation with respect to their rights, obligations and contracts, including international agreements.
