TOYO UNIVERSITY AND UZSWLU EXPLORE NEW AREAS OF COOPERATION

A delegation led by Etsuko Yaguchi, President of Toyo University, visited Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with students majoring in Japanese Philology. The students gave presentations in Japanese on the history, culture, and national values of Uzbekistan. The guests were also treated to traditional melodies performed on the dutar, a traditional Uzbek string instrument.

During the meeting, plans to establish a Toyo University Center at UzSWLU were presented. The participants also discussed prospects for implementing educational and research projects, as well as creating new opportunities for students and faculty members.

The delegation also visited General Education School No. 81, where they discussed the teaching of Japanese, modern teaching methods, and ways to increase students’ interest in learning the Japanese language.

Particular attention was paid to prospects for cooperation within the framework of ECO projects.
