UZBEKISTAN AND THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA STRENGTHEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung. The meeting was held first in a narrow format and then continued with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. Particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, developing investment cooperation, and deepening collaboration in education, science and innovation.

The parties also exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation, implementing joint projects, and ensuring the consistent fulfilment of existing agreements. The sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Following the talks, a ceremony for the exchange of bilateral documents was held in the presence of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung.

The documents cover various areas of cooperation and create additional opportunities for expanding bilateral ties and implementing new joint initiatives between the two countries.
