UZBEKISTAN DELEGATION STUDIES THE DUAL EDUCATION SYSTEM EXPERIENCE
June 10, 2026As part of a visit to Germany, a delegation led by Ilkhom Siradjev, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Education Reform, and comprising representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation as well as rectors of the country’s engineering higher education institutions, held a series of meetings in Munich, the capital of the federal state of Bavaria, to study the dual education system.


During the visit, the delegation met with Volker Leinweber, Head of the Department of National Economy and Foreign Economic Relations and Chief Executive Officer of the Bavarian Business Association. The participants examined Germany’s experience with the dual education system, which is regarded as one of the world’s most effective and practice-oriented educational models, focusing on its legal framework, governance mechanisms, and quality assurance procedures.
The meeting addressed issues related to providing students with theoretical knowledge at educational institutions while simultaneously equipping them with practical skills at industrial enterprises. The parties also discussed the role of qualification assessment and certification systems, mechanisms for cooperation with businesses, and opportunities for adapting this model to the conditions of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the participants exchanged views on Bavaria’s experience in training and certifying educational personnel, aligning educational programs with labor market demands, and ensuring graduate employment.
