UZBEKISTAN STRENGTHENS COOPERATION WITH EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES

Within the framework of the “Central Asia–European Union Universities Congress” held in the city of Samarkand, important agreements were reached between leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Europe. During the event, more than 50 memoranda and agreements were signed, aimed at developing academic mobility, launching joint educational programs, and expanding research activities.

In this process, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Tashkent State Technical University, Samarkand State University, Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction, as well as a number of higher education institutions specializing in medicine, economics, and engineering, took an active part. They reached agreements with prestigious universities in Poland and across Europe to elevate cooperation to a new level.

Based on the signed documents, student and faculty exchange programs will be established through Erasmus+ and other international initiatives. In addition, joint research projects, international conferences, and double degree programs are planned.

According to experts, this congress serves as an important platform for strengthening international cooperation in higher education, enhancing scientific potential, and bringing the quality of education to a new level.
